Adventure Escape Mysteries is a free-to-play collection of hand-drawn point-and-click escape stories from Haiku Games, ported from mobile. It bundles several chapter-based adventures, including the Detective Kate Gray murder cases, a fantasy quest in Legend of the Sacred Stones, the Mirror Man horror story and an NCIS tie-in. Each mixes inventory puzzles, hidden objects and logic locks. It suits casual solo players who want to dip into a puzzle chapter now and then.
On Steam it holds a Very Positive rating, with about 85 percent of over 600 reviews in favour, and players tag it as free to play, escape room, point and click and detective. The most dedicated reviewer, with over 70 hours, uses it to unwind and singles out the Kate Gray stories, while admitting some puzzles were too hard to crack alone.
